Metallographic structure of the tape after two‑roll hardening‑rolling of the melt

Abstract
The paper presents a description of an installation for two-roll rapid hardening-rolling of the melt in rolls with an ultra-thin bandage. It is shown that the main processes of deformation of the tape occur in the melt bath located in the inter-roll space. A feature of the crystalline structure of thin tapes made of the alloy is the zonal nature, when the crystals have a special location, shape and size. The dependences of the influence of the annealing temperature of rapidly quenched tapes of different thickness on the average grain size and its microhardness are presented.
