PRINCIPALLY NEW EFFECTIVE CASTING PROCESS OF THE HOLLOW CYLINDRICAL SLUGS OF CAST IRON BY METHOD OF DIRECTIONAL SOLIDIFICATION

Abstract

The advantages of the new method of the hollow ingots production of cast iron are presented. The thermal state of crystallizer at cyclic temperature influences on its inside face, the ingot hardening and cast iron structure formation in conditions of intensive one-sided heat sink is examined. The comparative data on properties and exploitation characteristics of the parts, produced by different ways of casting is given.
