Application of the sand-salt mixture with the salt rest for winter maintenance of roads, formed on evaporator system of the Belarusian metallurgical works is considered.
It is shown that at efficient observation of technological process the repair, restoration and modernization of such complex and important constructions as consoles for electrodes by the plant efforts is more preferable in comparison with purchase of new consoles, that allows for the plant to save considerable means.
The description of development of the system, enabling to trace all the stages of qualit y control of wire of the high pressure cantilevers, starting from mechanical tests and finishing with delivery to consumer, is given.
Within the period from 2010 to 2013 MNLZ-3 of JSC BMZ has completely solved the problem of metal discharge from pouring boxes at their filling on the first melting in line at pouring of all assortment of steels due to use of metal reservoir jet damper of optimal design and chemical composition.
Computer-aided design of foundry production
Numerical modeling of distribution of the fields of speeds projections on axes X, Y, Z in gating system with the casting “Case of conical pair” for various temporal values is carried out. Numerical criteria for assessment of metal movement through the feeders having various spatial location relative to the gating system are offered. Dynamics of change of the offered criteria on the basis of integral average value of the speed component on axes X, Y, Z in the gating systems at the outlet from feeder is calculated.
Foundry
On the basis of thermodynamic analysis it is shown that metal melts are the nanostructured systems which consist of phases and atoms nanocrystals. Nanocrystalsmake 97% ofthemeltvolume.
It is established that in spite of presence of tungsten in composition of high-speed steel P6M5 at additional introduction of this element in volume of 0,1-0,6% the selective modifying effect becomes apparent.
The article is devoted to the problem of recycling of disperse iron-containing waste and possibility of application of rotary rocking furnaces (RRF) for solution of this problem. Modeling of processes of heat-mass exchange in rotary furnaces is carried out, original constructions of high-capacity furnaces are developed.
The process of production of cast blanks of cast-iron glass-molds is considered. Influence of various structural components on firmness of molding sets is described. Impact of hardening phases on behavior of the glass-molds elements and increase of reliability of their operation is investigated.
The results of researches on determination of optimal technological parameters of the emulsions preparation, enabling to receive composition of separating covering with high sediment stability, are given.
The results of researches on determination of thickness of lubricating and separation layer depending on ways of their application on the surface of foundry equipment are given.
Science of materials
Determination of oxygen amount in the deformed copper by methods of stereometric metallography is considered. The volume amount of cuprous oxide in eutectic Cu-Cu2O is determined in the program of images processing IMAGE-SP. It is shown that known value of density of cuprous oxide (6 g/cm3) doesn’t ensure possibility of the correct calculation of the structural components content. Value of 1,53 g/cm3 is determined for cuprous oxide density.
Schemes of rolling of striped blanks on swage at various values of their front tension are considered.
The matters of influence of cast structure on level of hardening of tool steel of type 4X2BMC with various proportions of elements in their structure are considered. It is shown that presence of cast structure can provide hardness increase up to 5-15% of the experience value that is especially necessary at tempering temperatures of 600 ° C and over.
The conducted researches of continuous stability of microstructures of the fast-quenched tapes from alloys of aluminum and chrome showed that the natural aging accompanied by discharge of stable phases is observed in copper-bearing alloys. There are no changes in microstructure in the chrome-bearing fast-chilled tapes that confirms their high temporary stability.
Influence of preliminary high-temperature processing on structure formation of the diffusionalloyed waste of high-phosphorus cast iron shot is investigated. Changes of microstructure, microhardness and chemical composition of the shot waste after high-temperature processing are revealed. The preliminary resource-and energy saving technology of the diffusionalloyed shot for induction deposit welding is offered.

Analysis of works is carried out and characteristics of operation of a rotor-tilting drum-type furnace are given. Technological process of melting of black and nonferrous alloys in a rotor-tilting furnace is considered.
It is shown that for improvement of physical-mechanical properties of the cast products which have hard usage, the boron carbide, which can be used at carrying out process of thermo-chemical treatment of cast products of iron-carbon alloy, is of great interest.
