The theoretical suppositions for creation of qualitative metal production in pipe rolling, based on the principles of production of defect less slug on the continuous casting machines, are worked out.
The article is dedicated to analysis of the existing calculation methods of thermalphysic characteristics of steel of different chemical composition depending on temperature and development of new methods for determination of actual heat capacity of the carbon types of steel.
The forecast of formation of the ferrous metals chips in the Republic of Belarus is carried out.

Foundry
Тhе analysis of continuous horizontal casting of the zinc anodes slugs is carried out on the basis of numerical modeling and experimental investigations. The possibility of production of the zinc hot-rolled anodes slugs by means of continuous casting in graphite catalyzer is shown.
The informational and functional peculiarities of perspective of the flber-optics systems using for control and management in foundry are considered.
It is shown that the developed steel 125G18X2L has higher level of mechanical characteristics and wear resistance as compared to steel 110G13L.
It is shown that for preventing of nitride-aluminium formation in high-manganese steel, the contents of aluminium up to 0,01% is expedient.
It is shown at the example of wear-resistant of high-manganese steel that mechanical and operating characteristics depend to a great extent on micro-composition of deoxidation, connected with peculiarities of its production, deoxidation melting, modifying and micro-alloying. The carried out investigations prove the expediency of insertion of 1,30-1,38% chrome for improvement of its quality.
