Science of materials
The possibility of obtaining images of macrostructure of metals and nonmetallic materials by means of scanner is considered. Comparison of quality of the images received with the help of scanner and digital camera is carried out. Examples of the quantitative analysis of macrostructure images are given.
Actual problems of application of ring rolling in the conditions of small-lot production in relation to production of dump trucks of the BelAZ line are considered. The special attention is paid to determination of optimum parameters of ring rolling for profile rings.
It is showed that an increase of temperature and duration of holding time at termodiffuznom galvanizing in powder medium garttsink–Al2O3 leads to the layer thickness and the size of the samples growth. Coating thickness increases due to δ1k-compact phase having a fine crystalline structure, is in the range of 400–500 °C, with the most intensive growth of layer inside the sample due to the increase of δ1k-compact phase after 3 h-exposure.

Based on cast iron microstructures with different amounts of impurities of plastic and nodular graphite given in CCITT 3443-87 “Cast iron with various forms of graphite. Methods for determining the structure “shows the possibilities of automated quantitative analysis of microstructures SG2, PG4, PG6, PG10, PG12 (Plastic Box) and SHG2, SHG4, SHG6, SHG10, SHG12 (spheroidal graphite), which allows the development of methods for the determination of impurities of plastic and spherical graphite according to the microstructures image under the light microscope.

Dynamics of change of criterion for the analysis of temperatures loss in gate systems on the example of the gate system with casting “Case of conical pair” is presented.
The numerical modeling of process of the steel casting “Link” heat treatment for the set mode of heating is carried out by means of the developed module of heating. Dependences of statistical parameters of temperature field on heating time for the purpose of carrying out quantitative assessment of various groups of net elements in relation to the average temperature of an object are calculated.
