Foundry
The article begins а series of publications upon the investigation of mixture preparation processes as well as elaboration of effective methods and regimes of high quality moulding mixture.
The experience on alloys development for grind the valve seat of internal combustion engine is generalized in this paper. The findings of an influence of chemical composition and heat treatment condition of the castings for grind the valve seats on their wear resistance and machinability are presented.
The article considers influence of single and complex admixtures of graphitizing modifiers and elements increasing supercooling as well as effect of the level of eutecticity, carbon content and cooling speed on the eutectic crystallization process, structure and characteristics of cast iron. The author alleges to the samples of effective use of ''counter modifying ” in production.
In the article the author defines tensions in the wall of casting from gravity forces and range of geometrical parameters when permanent deformation values of castings at 1000 °C do not exceed 1 mm.
The article describes influence of prespheroidizing modifying on structure formation in spherulitic iron. Alpha- iron cast ingots of 25 mm diameter were received.
Metallurgy
The aniele provides numerical solution of the problem of optimal control over two-stage processes of metallurgical production. As an optimization criterion the author takes duration of the process with preset approximation accuracy to the distribution demand when process duration is fixed.
The article describes о range of problems of optimal те1аГ\. heating control. Analysis of main industrial technologies optimization methods in automobile construction and metallurgical production is conducted. The article shows effectiveness and advantages of the trunk asymptotic optimization method in solution of industrial optimization tasks.
The article provides а mathematical model of steel smelting in a steel-melting arc furnace with provision for calculation of necessary quantity of oxygen for maintenance of preset temperature of steel when arcs are switched off It shows that oxygen supply during the arcs disconnection period secures energy consumption reduction.
The article provides examples of physical and mathematical modeling of the process of motion of melt in the fluid nucleus of the hardening ingots of continuous casting in conductive method of electromagnetic mixing (CMEM). These models can be used while choosing rational parameters of CMEM machines and for development of continuous filling process control algorithms.
