The authors list methods of modification of silicate binding agent with the purpose to secure high quality of castings and ecological cleanliness.
The article presents comparative analysis of various classes of sponge permeable materials according to their structural, hydrodynamic, physicomechanical and filter characteristics. It is shown that foam-ceramic filters are most effective for rectification of metal alloys of nonmetal lie inclusions.
In the article the authors present results of the investigations of casting zink in cast-iron chills and their use as anodes in electroplates instead of rolled metal.
Тhе article describes technology of parametric identification of heat exchange at continuous casting of piece into a crystallizer of a 'wheel-strand" type.
Main disadvantages of cupola melting at the domestic enterprises is instability of the process and, as a result, unstable, quality of the manufactured cast iron. The article examines ways to solve this problem by implementing automatic systems and control of wind parameters, temperature of affluent gases and hot metal, as well as level of furnace feed.
The authors examined variants of solution of the issues of automation of the process of manufacture of fluid cast iron in a cupola. On the basis of the analysis of the actual operation of cupola the scheme is suggested of automation of the process and equipment of the furnace with the KIP & D system.
The article describes changing of the range of the α-phase and (α+β) eutectic crystallization temperatures, as well as of the beginning of the α-phase crystallization and beginning of (α+β) eutectic crystallization of the AК7 alloy as a result of treatment of the alloy with mixtures producing exothermic effect.
А new way of preparation of suspensions used in foundry production is worked out. New technological equipment is created and implemented allowing to sharply reduce suspension preparation time and to substantially decrease energy capacity of the process.

The article analyses melt hydrodinamics sprayed by centrifugal method. It may be useful for understanding computer controlled spray process.
Ecology
It is shown that mineral sorbents of high activity on the basis of aluminosilicates suitable for water purification from oil products are manufactured by thermal activation of clay minerals containing organic matters.
Production news
Most of the cupolas working in our country can be successfully operated without lining in the melting area. For this purpose a temperature compensator is only required, simple to manufacture and reliable in operation.

The article generalizes main results of use of magistral optimization method for solving problem of effective conditions of steel heating development.
This article presents а procedure of temperature fields calculation as well as of thermal tensions and deformation while heating complete and hollow cylinders at Dneprovskiy Metallurgical Works.
А mathematical model and an algorithm of calculation of conjugated heat-exchange while heating metal castings in a pusher-type continuous furnace. The approach is fonnulated to the problem of calculation area quantization at setting forth conjugated problems of radiation-conductive heat exchange for geometric form heating furnaces.
The article presents numerical solution of the problem heating of plate form blanks by beaming at Stefan-Boltsman’s law while heat interchange with the flow of heating gases in conditions of theoretical counter flow. The results of the numerical solution of the problem are used for development of a simplified (engineering) calculation procedure.
The outcomes of the reseach, formula for account of wear of rollers are indicated in this aniele depending on the factors of the cross-section of hire and chemical structure of steel.
The article presents the data on chemical composition, technological melting, casting and roiling of pilot steel for hot pressing stamps which is being developed at Belarussian metallurgical plant.
