The features of different methods for determining the strength properties of bentonite molding clays are considered. The expediency of mixing bentonite clays from different deposits, that allows to obtain a higher technological parameters of bentopowders in comparison with a variant of their manufacture from raw materials of one deposit is shown.

Comparative researches of foundry paints showed that the most acceptable basis for them is disthenesillimanite and it is possible to use sodium aluminate solution as a binding agent.
The method of determination of durability of paints after heating up to various temperatures by the value of hardness of coverings is offered.
The specific features of structure formation of high-strength cast iron subjected to direct extrusion with different strain (ε) are studied both theoretically (by computer modeling) and experimentally (by metallographic analysis using light and electron microscopes). Evolution of the shape of graphite inclusions with increasing ε is examined and the stress-strain state in the vicinity of the graphite inclusion/metal matrix interface is modeled numerically. It is shown that graphite inclusions in the cast iron are deformed plastically even at high strains, up to 80–90%. Scanning electron microscopy has revealed the surface morphology of the deformed graphite inclusions.

Tools of management system by means of which it is possible to operate any information flows both in the organization and in the chain consumer-supplier are presented. Models of control cards help to build and show productive system of management, applying at the same time methodology 8D.
It is offered to make additions to STB 1704-2014 with regard to requirements to strength and plastic properties that will enable to make this standard correspond the European norms. Therefore it is necessary to introduce in STB 1704-2012 several grades of reinforcing steel with various plasticity rates without limitation in the way of production.
Advantages of the new technology of metal cord winding on master reel which enables to reduce negative influence of this operation on straightness of metal cord, to increase quality of the reinforced rubber-cord cloth and to lower costs of car tires production are presented.

Connection of maximum magnetic permeability µm of cast irons with coercive force Нс and residual magnetism Мr is established in all size of changing of the magnetic characteristics of cast iron. Differences of this connection for steels and cast irons are revealed. Formula for calculation µm of steels by Нс and Мr is corrected for calculation µm of cast irons. As a result of correction the calculation error of cast irons µm is diminished. The results can be used in magnetic structural analysis instead of labor-consuming measurement µm.

Methods of automated determination of the crystals size in the electrodeposited metal materials including digital processing of the electronicand microscopic image of the structure with sequential use of the low-and-high-leaky filter based on fast transformation of Fourier, Watershed-algorithm and decomposing of Voronoj with further measurement of thr crystal size with one of the traditional methods is offered.
Computer-aided design of foundry production
Purpose of the article is modeling of process of cast iron flowing in the gating systems used in vacuum-film molds. On the basis of the received results it is possible to deduce on great opportunities of the developed method of choice the gating systems used at production of castings by vacuum-film method.

Matters of efficiency increase of antipenetration washes of casting molds by application in their compositions the nanostructured modifiers having higher catalytic and reactionary ability that enables to intensify primary and secondary synthesis of high-heat-resistant phase in antipenetration wash are considered.
The method of complex surface hardening of steel detailswas designed. The method is a compound of two processes of hardening: chemical heat treatment and physical vapor deposition (PVD) of the coating. The result, achieved in this study is much higher, than in other work on this topic and is cumulative. The method designed can be used in mechanical engineering, medicine, energetics and is perspective for military and space technologies.
In the course of fulfillment of work the specified calculations of horizontal gating systems for various parts produced in dispensable molds were carried out. The results of work showed that the weight removal value in gating systems fluctuates in big intervals and the specified calculation of horizontal gating systems enables to calculate precisely their weight that allows to calculate quantity of metal in metal charge.
